About the course.

The PECB ISO 9001 Lead Implementer is an intensive five-day training course designed to equip professionals with the expertise and confidence to establish, implement, operate, maintain, and continually improve a Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with the ISO 9001 international standard.

Day 1

Introduction to ISO 9001 and the Initiation of a QMS Implementation

Begin your journey with an overview of ISO 9001 principles and requirements, and understand the key concepts that form the foundation of a Quality Management System (QMS). Learn how to define the scope, objectives, and structure of a QMS implementation project. Participants will explore how leadership, organizational context, and customer focus play vital roles in establishing an effective quality framework.

Day 2

Implementation Plan of a QMS

Gain insights into the planning phase of a QMS project, including developing implementation strategies, allocating resources, defining roles, and creating quality policies and objectives. This session focuses on establishing a roadmap for effective execution and ensuring alignment with ISO 9001 requirements.

Day 3

Implementation of a QMS

This session dives into the hands-on implementation of ISO 9001 processes and controls. You’ll learn to integrate quality management principles into daily operations, manage documentation, conduct process evaluations, and promote continual improvement. Practical exercises help participants translate theory into real-world application.

Day 4

QMS Monitoring, Continual Improvement, and Preparation for the Certification Audit

Understand how to evaluate and improve QMS performance through internal audits, management reviews, corrective actions, and data-driven decision-making. Participants will also learn how to prepare for external certification audits — ensuring compliance, readiness, and confidence in meeting ISO 9001 requirements.

Day 5

Certification Examination

The course concludes with the PECB ISO 9001 Lead Implementer certification exam, designed to assess your ability to apply implementation methodologies effectively. Upon successful completion, you will earn the PECB Certified ISO 9001 Lead Implementer credential — a UKAS-accredited, globally recognized certification that validates your capability to lead QMS implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.
